Core Terms
Agreement
- Definition: An agreement with an organization for an entitlement or resource. It serves as the root legal document governing the relationship.
- Synonym: Contract (Salesforce)
Customer
- Definition: The central business entity representing an organization or individual that has a relationship with SureInk.
- Synonym: Account (Salesforce)
Project
- Definition: An organizational unit used to group Agreements and Subscriptions. It allows for organizing multiple engagements under a single Customer.
- Synonym: Engagement, Study (Clinical Context)
Subscription
- Definition: A specific instance of a product or service purchased by a Customer under an Agreement. It defines the active period and value of the entitlement.
- Synonym: Asset (Salesforce), Entitlement
Product
- Definition: The definition of a good or service available for purchase. It serves as a template for Licenses and Subscriptions.
- Synonym: SKU, Item
License
- Definition: The technical artifact that grants access to specific features or products, often cryptographically signed.
- Synonym: Key, Permit
Quote
- Definition: A proposed agreement or set of products presented to a Customer for approval.
- Synonym: Proposal
Sales Order
- Definition: A confirmed intent by a Customer to purchase products or services, typically generated from an accepted Quote.
- Synonym: Order
Invoice
- Definition: A financial record requesting payment from the Customer for Orders or Usage.
- Synonym: Bill
Usage
- Definition: The measurement of consumption of a Resource by a Customer.
- Synonym: Consumption, Metering
Resource
- Definition: An asset or capability (e.g., Storage, API Calls) that is metered and protected by the platform.
